JOHN SIROIS is a New England resident who has been painting professionally for 20 years. John paints on location as he is better able to capture the color and light by being out of doors. He has become a familiar sight on the roadsides and sidewalks of many New England towns, but also enjoys cityscapes and has painted in Boston and New York City as well as various locations in Europe.
John has studied with Sidney Willis, Don Stone, Lois Griffel and Charles Sovek as well as attending the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
He has shown his work at The Salmagundi Club in New York,The American Artists Professional League, the Audubon Artists and The Currier Museum in Manchester NH.
John is on the faculty of The Sharon Arts Center where he teaches outdoor impressionist landscape painting. He is a member of The New Hampshire Art Association, The Southern Vermont Art Association and The Left Bank Artists of the Monadnock Area. His work has been recognized by the Peterborough, New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and his painting "Summer Garden" (seen below) graces the cover of the 2015 summer issue of So Vermont Arts & Living magazine
